DLC, patch, and problems....

I haven't played much the last few days, was waiting for the DLC and patch, and now its comes there have been some problems, to say the least! I imagine by monday evening it will have been sorted out, and in fact should be very interesting with the new maps and the changes made, I played one game today, which I will give you as I'm going to be fairly busy the next few weeks so wont get many games in, so enjoy!

I hate getting double smerched from the 2nd minute of a game, its just annoying. So, I decided to get my own back, this was the longest game ive ever had, ran out of all my supplies and command vehicles!

I actually had a really fun, close game today, the first in quite a few days! I thought I was done for a one point but i'll let you see what happens :)

At a loss...

I lost today for the first time in 35 games, sad times :( The game is also starting to feel a little stale, in fairness I have put in a lot of hours, but there is a few things which hold the game back a bit imo.

Firstly the small fanbase means its become harder to get a ranked game, especially a decent one. Secondly the only effective way to play is to defend, and when both players do that the games is exceptionally boring. My loss today was 40 mins of the other guy doing nothing, so eventually i attacked, unsurprisingly i lost :(

Anyway, here is a replay of a fairly close game, I went behind to start with, then i push him back on the left and he pushes me on the right, should keep you entertained.

The winning formula

I haven't been able to play too much recently, but i think i've found the winning formula. I'm currently unbeaten in 20 ranked games, althought I haven' been matched with any top 10 players in that time

For the meantime I have a decent game against Swift, enjoy :)

Comeback

Not gonna get many games in today, so here is one from this morning, I was very complacent at the start, and then tried to get his command vehicle, which didnt work! The replay shows an interesting comeback i think from 600 points down :)

Yesterday my experimentation cost me a 140 elo points, today i made nearly all of those back (100), and wouldve been more if i hadnt got a disconnect against a very low player and stupid loss, where i should have won to a medium level player. Anyway, not many good replays from today, but here is one which shows why attacking is an art (which u need to get right!) and defending is easier imo, oh and you get 2 see a tripple buratino attack fail to kill anything!!

Hello followers! I have a special replay for you today, after some experiments i'm convinced the most effective way to play this game at the moment is to defend, use artillery, and once you're ahead then to attack, unless you can just bombard them to death, let it rain! This is a replay of my new plan in action against what is probably the best pact player at the moment, enjoy! Would be interested to hear you're thoughts so feel free to comment :)

Trial and error

I've spent the day trying numerous different stratergies and units, and haven't been very successful. My aim was to find a way to be aggressive without the marder vts1, I found a few useful units but nothing amazing. The most effective way to play the game at the moment is to be defensive. The last thing I will share today is a single delta force unit taking on a whole army!

The beginning!

Hello Everyone!

OnCe_Ov3R here, welcome to my new blog! I wanted to create this blog to share some of my thoughts and experiences on Wargame European Escalation. I already have a youtube channel with several popular Wargame videos and here i hope to build on this, through discussion and hopefully sharing some of my replays.

To sum me up in one sentence i would say "I'm currently a top 10 1v1 ranked NATO player". I love the game, i love ranked games and NATO are my favourite faction. I consider myself an aggressive player, some people like my style, some don't! Enjoy and please feel free to leave comments (hopefully nice ones!!)
